Demelza Fox is a talented fusion performer known for her hypnotising charm, powerful stage presence and smooth slinky movement.
She has been a bellydancer for 25 years, starting as a child in dance classes with her mother. First learning as an oriental dancer, at 20 she discovered Tribal Fusion bellydance through a performance of the international artist Samantha Emanuel and she was hooked. She travelled to intensively study with the world's top fusion belly dancers - Zoe Jakes, Mardi Love, Kami Liddle, Suhaila Salimpour, Samantha Emanuel - alongside pursuing her original love for oriental bellydance, training with Aziza of Montreal, Sadie. |

She spent ten years working as a full-time performer and dance teacher, teaching multiple weekly bellydance classes in Cambridge UK and performing around the country as a belly dancer, burlesque dancer, ambient performer and professional mermaid.
Passionate about creating new spaces for performers and for fusion bellydancers in particular, Demi co-produced the biannual Burlesque Show The Honeysuckle Revue for four years, bringing together the best of quirky burlesque, cabaret and bellydance to create sold-out shows pre pandemic. |
In the past few years Demi has blended her lifelong love of dance with her day job as a professional priestess, creating powerful archetypal dance pieces and temple dance offerings. Fascinated with sacred dance and the merging of movement with trance, spirituality and devotional offering, she travelled to Salvador Brazil in 2017 to study Orixia Dance, the sacred dance of the Candomblé religion, and has been studying the classical Indian Temple dance for the past 6 years. She has taught temple dance classes in California USA and Glastonbury UK, and has been a regular performer at the annual international Glastonbury Goddess Conference.
Outside of dance Demi is a ceremonialist, amateur frame drummer, seamstress and painter.
